1951 As a laboratory of 16mm films, PCL Co., Ltd. founded ("PCL" stands for "Photo-chemical laboratory").
1964 Color Photograph Division established.
1969 Launched a videotape duplication service.
1970 Joined Sony Group and renamed to Sony PCL Inc.
1972 Osaka Branch established.
1976 Launched a transfer service of negative 16mm film images directly into videotapes.
1978 Launched a transfer service of negative 35mm film images directly into videotapes.
Launched a videotape duplication service for PAL standard.
1979 Launched a post-production and video equipment rental service.
Launched a transfer service between NTSC/PAL standard.
1980 Launched a service of processing 35mm films.
1982 Installed a system for copy and transfer between NTSC/PAL/SECAM standards.
1984 Authorized by Tokyo Customhouse as a bounded warehouse/factory.
Established a mass video duplication factory at Hasso Electronic Corporation, our subsidiary in Chiba Prefecture.
1985 Started technical support, editing, and equipment rental for HDTV software productions (the first in the world).
1988 Launched an HDTV telecine (F to T) service.
Established "Video Production Workshop" with a post-production ability for video and HDTV.
1989 Launched an assisting-staff offering service in audio-visual industry.
1992 Renamed Hasso Electronic Corporation to Sony PCL Hasso Corporation.
1993 Launched a CG (computer graphics) production service.
1995 Opened a digital telecine room with "KeyLink System" (the first in Japan).
1996 Launched a DVD-Video authoring service.
1998 Technical Human Resources Corporation founded, which operates a trustee business for audio-visual related facilities and an assisting-staff offering service.
2000 Launched a DVD-Video disc production.
Opened "408 THX Suite", which is certificated of THX_pm3TM (the first in Japan) by THX and is suitable for 5.1 channel surround and other multi-channel audio.
2001 Certificated of ISO-14001, the international standard for the environmental management.
2002 Closed a chemical processing (film and photo) service.
Launched a system for contents creation and total solution service, using digital technologies, such as HD, digital cinema, DVD and network.
2003 Certificated of ISO-9002, the international standard for the corporations quality guarantee.
2004 Launched a high-end HD solution service using HDCAM-SR as a core format.
Merged Sony PCL Hasso Corporation.
2005 Launched a UMD_Video authoring service.
Launched an image work processing system and a screening room "CineLaPista" specialized in digital cinemas.
2006 Launched a Blu-ray Disc(BD)authoring service.
Opened "Koenji Studio" with online editing system which operates for animation contents.
2007 Started a Digital Cinema Packaging Service (DCP).
Launched that made to order production of a new Lippmann hologram for security uses, which is designed to counter fake merchandize.
Opened an image work processing room which provided a 1080/60P editing system (the first in Japan) and VFX processing system for high quality HD.
